We offer some special classes every day in the last slot of the day and before the party on friday. You can either add them to your main pass or if you take no Main Track classes, book some special classes individually.

This is a fun and very musical routine that we created to a song called „Whole lotta love“. It has some clapping, Authentic Jazz elements and partner changes. May sound complicated but we can adjust the complicity of the choreo depending on the level of the class.

Ever watched people dancing and thinking “Hey, this Balboa move looks like Shag” or vice versa? We will take a look at what roots the dances share and what makes them unique, focusing on style, rhythm and core mechanics, starting from a vocabulary shared by both dances.

Pure-Bal: Individual Rhythm, shared Groove & Fast Dancing. Stay fully connected while adding your own rhythm, on the spot, through direction changes and with playful textures. The goal is efficient, relaxed Pure Bal that feels great at fast tempos.

This class is inspired by the smooth and unique style of Mike Mizgalski – a very experienced Collegiate Shag dancer from California. We’ll share some moves and transition which are good for open level and that we also use a lot in our dance.

The Vintage Beach Clip

Sunday Balboa with Jenn & Marlon

This special class’ theme is the famous “Beach Clip”, a vintage video recording showing oldtimer dance legends at a young age dancing together (Collegiate Shag and Bal-Swing) on a sunny day at Venice Beach, a popular beach in Los Angeles, California in 1938*.
