Teacher

You can take classes on Saturday and Sunday in 3 levels of Collegiate Shag or 2 levels of Balboa, as well as special classes in Shag and Balboa. There is also a special balboa class on friday.

Jordan & Charlotte

With over 7 years of experience dancing Collegiate Shag, Jordan Hunter (USA) & Charlotte Liebenow (GER) bring their passion of the dance to the floor and the studio, where they focus on fundamentals, technique, musicality, and exploring new ideas.

Since first meeting in the summer of 2021, they had an instant connection and shared love for the dance, and shortly thereafter started teaching Collegiate Shag in Berlin, where they currently reside, and across all of Europe. In the last few years they have competed together at multiple events around the world, including Barcelona Shag Fest, Warsaw Shag Fest, and recently winning the Shag contest at the National Jitterbug Championship in 2023.

They love to challenge each other and their students and their goal is to help take the shag community to the next level!

Larissa & Heiko

Larissa and Heiko have been dancing and teaching together for more than a decade. They love to spread the joy of swing dancing in their local dance school Basel Jitterbugs and all around Europe.

Both dance various swing dance styles and mix them based on the tempo
and energy of the music. In class they share their immense passion for swing dancing to help you grow as a swing dancer and develop your own voice on the dance floor.

You might have seen them in the teachers‘ line up of many festivals like Barcelona Shag Festival or
Swing Paradise. They are also the hosts of their own Festivals Jitterbugs Delight, Balboa Delight and Shag Delight in Basel.

Emiliya & Marlon

Emiliya Bazlyankova is a seasoned dancer with over nine years of experience in swing, specializing in Balboa for the past four. Her dance journey began in childhood, spanning styles from ballroom to traditional Bulgarian and modern dance, cultivating a rich foundation in movement. Over the last four years, she has deepened her practice with body awareness techniques, focusing on creativity, body mechanics, and pain-free movement to foster a relaxed, mindful approach to dance. Emiliya values creating a deep, expressive connection with her dance partners, viewing dance as a canvas to express the full range of human emotions.

Marlon Schumacher is a passionate dancer and professional music educator/researcher, with a background in martial arts. Having studied Balboa across Europe, the US, and Canada he enjoys deep connection, musicality, and body mechanics, emphasizing technical finesse while encouraging creative freedom in dance partnerships. His teaching style combines systematic methodology with artistic expression, supporting students not only in mastering skills but also connecting with music and partner in a dynamic and meaningful way.

After working together at numerous international events and dance camps, they are thrilled to finally get to share their common passion for Balboa for the first time with the Fast Feet community in Karlsruhe, Marlon’s homebase. Their energy creates a joyful and inspiring learning vibe, combining technical know-how with musicality and deep connection – supporting students‘ growth in both skill and expression.
